Gable contributed to Hard Rock Casino Tejon by designing, fabricating, and installing two custom guitar monuments that define the property’s presence. The landmark roadside guitar, a 57-foot-tall Gibson Les Paul Sunburst weighing 19,300 lbs, stands as a bold visual icon for guests and travelers.
At the main entrance, the porte cochere guitar weighs 8,800 lbs and is inspired by a Spanish-style acoustic guitar. Its design celebrates the Tejon Indian Tribe’s heritage and Bakersfield’s musical history. Layered details incorporate cultural references, Hard Rock’s guiding mottos, and color-changing lighting, creating depth and movement while connecting past and present.
In addition to Hard Rock Casino Tejon, Gable has created signature landmark guitars in Ottawa, Rockford, IL, and Bristol, VA. Each guitar is a unique installation with its own design, scale, and presence.
